ABOUT

In the memory of Joey Sykes, a former St. Raymond student who battled a rare form of pediatric cancer with great courage, determination and optimism, the St. Raymond Athletic Association is proud to host the 20th Annual Joey Sykes 8th Grade Boys Basketball Tournament (Thursday, Jan. 16, through Sunday, Jan. 19).

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation .https://bearnecessities.org

The 20th Annual Joey Sykes 8th Grade Boys Basketball Tournament will be held Jan. 16-19. Games will be played at St. Raymond and Lincoln Middle School with the championship games being held at St. Raymond on the final day of tournament action, Sunday, Jan. 19.

From the Tournament Directors

The 20th Annual Joey Sykes tournament will feature multiple 8th-grade boys teams competing over four days in the St. Raymond School and Lincoln Middle School gyms. The tournament features a 3-point contest on Saturday, Jan. 18, prior to the start of the playoff round.  

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

PACK THE GYM & COME CHEER ON THE SAINTS 

On Thursday, the opening night of the tournament, the 8th grade boys will play [team TBD] at [time TBD].  The Athletic Association encourages all students to come out and pack the gym for this great event as we cheer on our teams, raise funds to fight pediatric cancer and celebrate the spirit of Joey Sykes
