The 6th Grade Girls team opened its conference season a little rusty against a very good St. Emily's team, losing 24-6. Tuesday's game at Holy Family saw the girls lose a tightly contested game late by a score of 26-23. The girls continued to improve, saving their best all-around team performance for their home opener against St. Alphonsus, winning 24-14 on Wednesday night. Next week's schedule has the 6th grade girls at St. James on Monday at 6 p.m. and then away at St. Alphonsus at 8 p.m. Thursday. These will be their last games before resuming league play in January.
