In memory of Joey Sykes, a former St. Raymond student who battled a rare form of pediatric cancer with great courage, determination, and optimism, the St. Raymond Athletic Association is proud to host the 15th Annual Joey Sykes 8th grade boys basketball Tournament Thursday, January 17th thru Sunday, January 20th.
The tournament will feature twenty 8th grade boys teams competing over four days in the St. Raymond School and Lincoln gyms. The tournament features a Silver and Gold bracket as well as a 3-point contest on Championship Sunday. There is a raffle with a chance to win many amazing prizes.
St. Raymond will be donating the net proceeds of the tournament to the Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation in the name of Joey Sykes who attended St. Raymond School. Last year, we donated over $4,000 to the Foundation in honor of Joey.
